Field Applications Engineer

About:
As a Sr. Field Applications Engineer, you are primarily responsible for proving technical expertise through presentations, product demos, installation and maintenance of company products. You are also required to assist sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customers' needs, prepare detailed product specifications for development and implementation of (mobile) customers' applications and solutions, and provide pre-Sales and post-Sales technical support according to company policies.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Mobile customer RFI/RFP/RFQ request f/up
- Provide customer module build support through close communication with customers, including releasing design packages, ORS, datasheets, OQC reviews, and thermal simulation reports.
- Power component management, understanding physical RW specifications, and timely publication of related documentation.
- Review and verify customer module drawings, with an emphasis on optimizing the number of passive components and ensuring proper power line alignment.
- Conduct sensor CRA matching studies and implement appropriate compensation techniques in collaboration with lens specialists.
- Sensor setting initialization for preview activation check with customer module.
- PLL limitation check and table generation based on customer MCLK, Grabber environment limitation
- Support customer specific IQ tuning activities, aligning with customers' requirements for design-win
- Perform sensor pixel evaluation based on key customers' testing criteria
- Coordination of electrical/mechanical issues in the field.
- Visit clients' site to get new requirements and share the information
- Training of local agency and CMI's FAE for key products accordingly
- Support QA for first-hand sensor module level failure analysis
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in application engineer or FAE field is required.
- Understanding of CIS image sensor principles is required.
- Mobile Application based design experience is required.
- Proficiency in English (speaking and writing) is required for communicating with international stakeholders
- Business travelling is required.
- Experience in development of Android/iOS application program is a plus.
- Experience in development of embedded software and firmware is a plus.
- Experience in development of Embedded Linux (Kernel) Porting and Driver is a plus.
- BS/MS degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
- C/C++ language analysis and coding skill is preferred.
